DutchBiophysics with joined BIOPM meeting 2020 GOES DIGITAL

DutchBiophysics with joined BIOPM meeting 2020 GOES DIGITAL
Monday 5 and Tuesday 6 October 2020

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS  AND  REGISTRATION

NWO has decided to go digital this year with DutchBiophysics 2020 and for the success of our event we need your input. The organisation acts in line with the measures the government takes to deal with the current COVID-19 pandemic. However, as the measures after 1 September are still unclear, we are going digital.

The organisation will do its utmost to present you with an equally exciting and inviting digital programme. We are currently in the process of finding the right platform, necessities, tools etc. to achieve this, but one thing is certain we need your input in the form of abstracts for oral presentations in order to make DutchBiophysics 2020 happen. The selected oral presentations will be included in the digital DutchBiophysics programme in parallel sessions similar to the previous editions but now via an online platform.

DutchBiophysics is organised and sponsored by NWO Domain Science (ENW), in co-operation with the Netherlands Society for Microscopy, the Society for Biophysics and Biomedical Technology, and the Dutch Society of Cell Biology.

Abstract submission and selection

Participants can submit an abstract for an oral or a poster presentation.
The deadlines for the submission of abstracts are:

-  for an oral presentation: 9 june 2020, 12.00 hrs (noon);

The session of BIOPM is: BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING

-  for a poster presentation: 3 September 2020, 12.00 hrs (noon).

- for the Thesis award of the Netherlands' Society for Biophysics and Biomedical
Engineering: 9July, 2020 (more information on Thesis award, website BIOPM)

Poster Prize
The Society for Biophysics and Biomedical Technology will sponsor a poster prize for the three best posters, to be selected during the meeting.

Registration
The registration deadline for DutchBiophysics 2020 is Thursday 3 September 2020, 12.00 hrs (noon). Soon, you will be able to register for the conference via the website. For those that already registered for the ‘old-style’ live DutchBiophysics 2020 conference, we will contact you shortly.

A small fee of €15 will be charged to attend the digital version of DutchBiophysics. This fee is the same for all scientific conferences organised by NWO Science. It is possible to pay by iDEAL or creditcard. More information about the prices and cancellation policy can be found on the website. To realise an interactive online event, the organisation requests your contact details during the registration. This information will be only used for DutchBiophysics 2020.

Please note that submission of an abstract does NOT imply registration for the conference!
