NWO Biophysics with joined BIOPM meeting 2023

Would you like to contribute to NWO Biophysics 2023? You can do so by giving an oral or poster presentation about your research progress. The call for abstracts is now open, do not hesitate to submit your abstract!

 

Deadlines for submitting abstracts

 

Abstract submission and selection

You can submit your abstract for a poster or oral presentation via NWO biophysics website (heading Abstracts). Abstracts ca be max. 300 words. When submitting your abstract, you have to choose a theme that applies to your research, the six themes are described on our website.

 

The programme committee will subsequently make a selection of the abstracts. In August, all authors will receive notice whether or not their abstract has been selected for an oral presentation.

 

The programme committee strives for a well-balanced and diverse programme with high quality talks. The following criteria will be taken into consideration during the selection of the abstracts:

  • Quality of the abstract.
  • Oral presentations are given by academic researchers. PhD students and Postdocs are prioritised during the selection.
  • The programme committee takes into account if the first authors have already presented their work before at NWO Biophysics.
  • The programme committee aims for a well-balanced programme that represents the variety of research groups in the Netherlands. Therefore, the number of abstracts selected from the same group will be limited.

If your abstract is not selected for an oral presentation, we will invite you for a poster presentation. The three best posters will be awarded a poster prize sponsored by the Society for Biophysics and Biomedical Technology.

Please note that you have to register for the conference independently from your abstract submission. Registration for NWO Biophysics opens in June and will close 5 September 2023, 14.00 hours CEST.

NWO Biophysics is organised and sponsored by NWO Domain Science (ENW) in co-operation with the Netherlands Society for Microscopy, the Society for Biophysics and Biomedical Technology, and the Dutch Society for Cell Biology. NWO Biophysics will take place in NH Conference Centre Koningshof Veldhoven. We will present to you an exciting programme covering a broad range of scientific topics varying from microscopy and cell biology to biomedical engineering.
